Guest guest
Hi. I am new to the group. I have been trying to find herbal supplements to help with digestion. I have been diagnosed with IBS, but I suspect my problems are due to my gallbladder being taken out many years ago. I have a dull aching pain where my gallbladder was, and I have to take Zelnorm to regulate bowel function. I would like to find something natural I can take. Thanks for any suggestions. Guest guest
Hey, you should know that you can get freeze dried bile. Bile is necessary for correct digestion, and you can get it to help take the place. Ramona Quoting fullbrooke <fullbrooke: > Hi. I am new to the group. Guest guest
It's my understanding that the liver produces bile. The bile is then stored in the gallbladder until it is released, triggered by what we eat. Our bodies still produce bile even if we don't have a gall bladder. It just releases it slowly and continuously. So one of the keys to living without a gallbladder then becomes eating smaller, more frequent meals. Avoiding high fat meals is essential to bowel control. Hydrogenated fats are especially bad. I use olive oil almost exclusively (ccassionally using real butter for flavoring and peanut oil when I need to cook something at a higher heat). Guest guest
Another piece of little known information is that the Gallbladder is one organ that "sometimes" has the capability of regrowing. Under the right conditions, a gallbladder that has been completely removed may be replaced with a new one over a period of time. One of the things that facilitates this is a healthy lifestyle. In Health and Love, Doc PS. Those who've had their gallbladder removed should eat very little animal fat and animal protein. Most of their protein should come from vegetable sources such as Spirulina and Chlorella. Guest guest
This is true data Terri. You've been coming out with some excellent information recently and it is appreciated. To piggy back on the advice you've given below, I'd like to add that the slowness of the bile produced warrants that a person cut way back on their animal protein in addition to their animal fats. As you suggest, Olive Oil is excellent, and so is Flax Oil. Any of your vegetable oils are far more assimilable than animal fats. Stay away from Canola Oil. This is a product that is good only for machinery. Guest guest
Usually it is freeze dried ox bile. As your liver does make its own bile, this is for when you slip up and eat too much fat, you start to feel sick etc. I am sure that you know the signs. You can swallow a pill, and you will be better. It is almost instantaneous. Guest guest
Wow, doc I didn't know that, and am going to have to research that!! I know that the liver has the ability to regrow itself even if 95% of it has been taken out or destroyed. But I had no idea that the gallbladder could do it as well, Cool! Guest guest
Dear Ramona,It seems as if it is a turkey shoot.Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.I don't think enough studies have been done on it to give you a complete answer, since I know of no one who has set out to accomplish it, but there are only those who were surprised to discover, it had happened. My viewpoint is that one should do all one can to facilitate the "chance", and this would be done by thorough cleansing and leading a healthy lifestyle. I would also keep taking (at least 3 years) all the liver herbs, plus DMSO. Since DMSO will realign DNA back to the orginal blueprint, it only stands to reason that it would assist in this. This is all I can suggest for the nonce. In Health and Love,DocPS. Guest guest
DMSODMSO is Dimethylsulfoxide and is processed from pine trees. Commercial grade is used as a solvent and works wonderfully that way. The pharmaceutical grade has been used very successfully with Down Syndrome children, Cancer patients, glaucoma, cataracts, and just about any other ill we humans have mocked up. It is a catalyst second to none as it has the ability to permeate any cell wall existing, including bone and external eye tissue. You can put a drop on your big toe and taste it in your mouth in anywhere from 8 to 12 seconds. Amazing stuff. One of its greatest characteristics is the ability to take herbal biochemicals with it when it passes through these cell walls. This gets the 'goodies' where they are needed fast. It also happens to be a free radical fighter without peer and bonds to free radical hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon atoms and neutralizes them instantly. Most exciting to me is that it also happens to help realign DNA back to the original blueprint. The above are the main reasons it is in my anti-plague formulation. There are over 75 different sulfur compounds in Garlic which is a main ingredient in the Total Tonic Formula. Garlic is "Nature's antibiotic" and used with the DMSO will get in there and knock off bacteria, viruses, and fungi at a tremendous rate. You should be able to get the USP Pharmaceutical Grade at your local drug store or possibly at your local Heathfood store. If you can't, give me a call or e-mail me privately. A lot of "healthfood stores" carry a very inferior brand in plastic. Do not buy this type. DMSO will eventually dissolve plastic over a long period of time. The USP Pharmaceutical grade is stored in brown glass with either a teflon or wax top. This is the variety that is used by the Sierra Clinic to inject into Down Syndrome children to correct that condition. Hope this helps. Love, DocCopyright © 2001 by Ian 'Doc' Shillington. Guest guest
Hi Doc, Question. I went to a pharmacy after buying DMSO 99.7% from a local feed store to ask if I could get Pharma grade and what was the cost. They quoted me $77 for 2 oz. and an RX was required. An outrageous sum, me thinks. Could you direct me to a more reasonable source for Pharma grade as someone close to me could really benefit from DMSO and like you, I wish to have only the best quality products. Another question you might be able to answer......have u ever used DMSO as a carrier for Essential Oils. Guest guest
Dear Carol Ann, It is expensive though $77 for a two ounce bottle is beyond outrageous. You do NOT need an RX and this dude was either pulling your leg or just trying to turn you off of it. Contact me off list and I'll put you in touch with a better, cheaper option. I use DMSO in my Deep Tissue Repair Oil so the answer to that question is, yes! You can use it with essential oils. Just remember to use it sparingly. A little goes a very long way. I also use it in my Ear Formula and my Eye Bright Formula. I've found it improves the transfer of biochemicals from the herbs through the cell wall of the eye in a flash. It raises the efficacy of the formula by about 500% and is essential when handling Glaucoma and Cataracts.
