Everyone,

Help! I need to get the smell of cat urine off my daughters hard wood floor.

I walked in this morning to change her sheets and was met with the smell of cat urine. The floor was dry, but I suspect she left some clothing laying around and the sick cat urninated on it.

I crawled around on my hands and knees and the smell only seems to be in one area of the floor, but the odor is wafting through the entire room. Yuck!

I've already mopped w/seventh generation lavender dish soap.

You have to sand the floor to get the cat urine up, sand until the smell is gone, then refinish the floor. It's the only way, I've been through this twice and, as the Brits say, its gets right up me nose! Right up me bloody nose!Debra Savage <gdwmn65 wrote: Everyone, Help! Hi Debra,

I find white vinegar effectively removes the smell of cat urine.

Hope this helps,

Raine

Hi - I don't know about cats urine specifically but a paste of water

and bicarbonate of soda left overnight to dry might help (I know

bicarbonate is used a lot to absorb smells)
