Guest guest
I do. Mangosteen. I have about 16 bottles of it. I signed up to try it and Whalla - It took 3 months and several phone calls to stop the auto ship and credit card debits. I think it is TOO expensive. - " Kenneth " <kjboyer2002 <herbal remedies > Thursday, December 22, 2005 2:50 AM Herbal Remedies - Does anyone here know about Mangosteen? Hi I am just into the group. Guest guest
Hi Ken, I live in Asia and this is Mangosteen season:-) I would imagine Mangosteens might be possibly grown in Hawaii or possibly in Florida but nothing very commercial? I am not much of a fruit eater and dont particularly like Mangosteens as they are a bit on the ascorbic side for my tastes. The fruit is interesting to see. the outter "shell" is a fiberous hardish purplish brown and of a smooth texture protecting several soft white delicate sections that are easily pulled from the center. The flavor is ascorbic with sweet overtones and I cant really give much more idea than that of how it tastes? It definately doesnt taste like chicken!:-). Many first timers prefer this fruit to other more watery types.I have no knowledge of curative powers but here in Indonesia the people ascribe many healing benefits to these things and often I really do wonder how much is really just imagined?I just asked an Indonesian friend who knows a lot about this stuff and he isnt aware of any qualities regarding health but thats not the last word on it.
