Guest guest
I'm very new to herbal preparations and am attempting to make my first Milk Thistle Tincture. I took crushed milk thistle seed and mixed it with vodka (1:5 ratio) and have let it sit in a dark place for six weeks (shaking every day or two). Tonight, I strained out the seed. What's left is an amber liquid, almost the color of honey. It has a very bitter, nasty taste to it. Does anyone know if this is what it's supposed to be like? What is the dosage? My goal is improved liver function (I suspect there's some liver malfuction, although nothing has been diagnosed).
