Guest guest
I just joined. Brief background: I have been using herbal remedies and a holistic approach since 1992. I am currently studying Holistic Animal Care through Clayton College. My problem: Wednesday night my boyfriend and I visited with some friends who had just gotten over being ill - throwing up, etc. It was my boyfriend's 21st birthday and naturally he drank too much. Something he does not do very often, so it was hard on him. I drank very little and felt fine the next morning. By Thursday evening I was very sleepy, meant to take a nap and get back to work but slept for several hours. I woke up nauseas and wound up with vomiting and diarhea for about 12 hours. After that I was exhausted for the rest of Friday and Friday night. Yesterday (Saturday) I felt much better, but when I finally ate it did not site real well with me. I didn't eat much and felt weak in the evening. My question is about my boyfriend. About the time my worst symptoms subsided, he started feeling ill. That was Friday. He only vomited once. All day yesterday and today he has had other symptoms. Primarily lower backache and headache, accompanied by stiff and sore joints. His glands are swollen. His stomach is fine. What we have done: Friday we drank a little ginger tea and some Gatoraide. This morning (Sunday) I gave him some echinechea, ginger capsules, and osha. Today's remedies have not had time to take effect. My guess is that by I got it out of my systom, but since he only threw up once he did not and it moved to other parts of his body. My question is What is wrong with him? and more importantly, What can we do about it? Also, would milk thistle or cranberry be better than ginger at this point? A apologize for throwing this out there without more of an introduction, but I am runing out of ideas and have been unsuccessful with an internet search. Thanks! Guest guest
" What the bad thing about Alcohol consumption is this:(Sober 10 yrs.) ALCOHOL DEPLETES MAJOR ESSENTIAL VITMAINS MINERALS AND OTHER NUTRIENTS. PICTURE ALCOHOL LIKE THIS. LIGHT A MATCH AND THEN PUT THE MATCH-FLAME IN A GLASS OF WATER. THE MATCH-FLAME IS YOUR NUTRIENTS; THE WATER IS THE ALCOHOL. WHAT THE WATER DOES TO THE MATCH IS WHAT ALCOHOL DOES TO NUTRIENTS. AND IT IS THE LACK OF CERTAIN NUTRIENTS THAT MAKES ONE SICK. CUTTING BACK ON ALCOHOL IS YOUR MAIN GOAL. DRINK MORE WATER.
