Dear Herbal friends:

We are a family living in Poland (I am American, husband Polish) with 5

children. We do not vaccinate and use all kinds of natural remedies and pick

our own herbs in the summer to dry. We make Master tonic, propolis, Kombucha,

green walnut tincture, amber tincture, homemade wines, apple cider vinegar and

will one day make colloidal silver :).

I broke my outside bone in my foot (is it metatarsel ?) and am wondering what I

can do to help it mend. It is broken the whole length of the bone!

I am currently drinking comfrey root tea and eating a tsp of village egg shells

that have been cleaned, blanched, dried and powdered each day.

Anything else anyone might recommend would be appreciated.

Blessings, Nancy

Hi Nancy-

I would make a poultice with the Comfrey and make sure you apply it to the whole area in question.

A poultice can be made by putting some comfrey and water (preferably distilled) in a pot and bringing it to a boil. Let it simmer for 20 minutes or so. Then when it cools down a bit, take something you can soak the comfrey tea with and wrap the leg. You can refresh your poultice every half hour or so. Also don't worry if there is herbs on the towel or whatever you use. This is actually good.

The other thing you should do is some hot/cold therapy to the area in question. This will help to circulate the blood (hot brings it out to the extremities and cold drives it inward) and bring the good healing nutrients you are putting in your body to the area in question.

Rob,

Are you talking about comfrey leaf or comfrey root?
