Guest guest
Vanessa! I get rid of the post nasal drip by doing the salt water nasal irrigation. This helps by washing away the allergens that cause the mucus membranes to swell and discharge and to remove any excess mucus. You can buy a kit from the drug store and use their solutions. It can get expensive so I make my own solution to use in their bottle. I make my own by adding a half teaspoon of sea salt or pure canning salt (Do Not Use Table Salt) to a quart of purified or distilled water. I boil it and then when cool to about 80E F I may use a baby syringe to gently lave each nostril until it runs out the other side, some out the mouth also. I hold my head slightly forward over the sink to eliminate it running down my chest. The store bought bottle is best because it has a tip that will close off the nostril giving positive control. I also get the plugged ears by blowing too hard and causing the mucus to go into the ear. Guest guest
Another things you can do is get a small pump-style spreay bottle - they usually have them at the health food store with other bottles for tincture, etc. - fill it with organic apple cider vinegar and frequently mist the throat. The natural antibiotic properties of the vinegar really helps. You can keep this in the refrigerator and any time you feel a sore throat coming on just spray away. It's also good for any bacteria in the mouth. herbal remedies , " Staya Udanvti Bob Butler " <cherokeebo@s...> wrote: > > Vanessa! > > I get rid of the post nasal drip by doing the salt water nasal irrigation. Guest guest
Hi Vanessa: I already wrote you privately a few weeks ago and told you to cut-back on the drinking of the Pau D'arco Tea. I explained that Pau D'arco Tea is a Medicine to be used sparingly when sick; not everyday; unless you were brought up on it and your body has devolped a tolerance for the tea. Pau D'arco tea is a strong substance that can have " side-effects " . But for today I wanted to say this: 1. To get rid of Post Nasal-Drip try this: (Yoga-Exercise: A. Stand up straight. Then slowlu bend forward as if to touch the toes. Hold this postiiton for a few minutes(tocuhing the toes). Keeping the back straight; SLOWLY lift your head-up towards a standing- position. AS YOU SLOWLY LIFT YOUR HEAD-UP; SOME OF THE EXCESS WATER IN YOUR NASAL-GLANDS SHOULD BEGIN TO COME OUT OF YOUR NOSE;(when the water begins to drip from the nose; slighty blow to get all water out). I know this sounds " gross " but this Will Relieve your Sinus-drip. I do it myslef often and when the excess water; which is what causes that pressure in the sinues to come out; you will feel Great!
