Guest guest
Doc, Do you have any idea what this "A" pattern and "B" pattern cholesterol means? What would the symptoms of 'full blown detox' be? Guest guest
Not a clue about pattern A & B. Is this new Medico terminology??? The symptoms of "full blown detox" is where the toxins are just flooding out, sometimes through various areas of the body, but most normally the bowel, the Kidneys, the skin, etc. Sometimes a full blown detox will also include a Healing Crisis where an original disease turns on and finishes running its course. This could include an old pneumonia, or flu or . . . To all appearances, the person just looks and acts sick. However, these can be gone through very quickly whereas the original disease may have lasted much longer. A person always come through a Healing Crisis much better off than before they went into it. They may go through a little hell though. This is why the Total Tonic and the Echinacea are so important when cleansing. They allow you to detox without going through a healing crisis. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Haing been a nurse in one of the most progressive cardiology clinics in the country, I am wondering if the cardiologist did a test called Lipoprotein-a (or LP-a). The LP-a is a marker for "inherited" high cholesterol. I amnot sure what "B: type cholesterol is unless it means dietary (or the way the body processes fat). Guest guest
Dawn, I was talking w/my husband about it again last night. And he said that the type A is supposed to be fluffier??? and the body will get rid of it easier? Makes no sense to me. Maybe it has to do with the type of cholesterol chain. I don't know. But I did see that this new product is actually 500mg of niacin. Is there any place on the web where I can get the info about the Lipitor not doing anything for the triglycerides. I think that would be important for my husband to take with him the next time. Guest guest
Fluffier?? Never heard of that, but cardiologists vary in how they explain things. Niacin is actually good for reducing cholesterol and reducing inflammation in the blood vessels (perhaps that is what the cardiologist was trying to explain). Have him try the fish oil as well, it really works! As for information about Lipitor not doing anything for triglicerides, you could look at the research. In the search engine specify studies that compare Zetia to Lipitor, if I remember correctly it is in that batch of studies around 2-3 years ago.
