Guest guest
Doc told someone to start taking garlic to help lower HDL adn LDL - 8 cloves a day. Does this need to be fresh garlic or can it be garlic tablets?
Guest guest
Actually, you want to increase the HDL and lower the LDL, and it needs to be fresh garlic. Garlic tablets no matter what they claim about potency lose some of their benificial properties during the "heat" processing. If you start with 2-3 cloves and work your way up to 8 that is good. A way to get rid of the smell is to eat some parsely after the garlic, it neutralizes the odor. Guest guest
I remember when I was a child, all of us got pinworms. My mother used garlic to get rid of it. As a bedtime snack, she would give us each a piece of garlic toast. She minced up the garlic, blended it with butter, and spread it on toast. It was great! Guest guest
I don't know about cholesterol, but for pinworms, it had to be raw. Guest guest
I've always heard whole/Raw or very lightly cooked. Like any other food, high heat destroys the nutritional properties. herbal remedies , maddress@m... wrote: > > I don't know about cholesterol, but for pinworms, it had to be raw. > > Terri > - > Kim <irishgirl75@c...> > herbal remedies > Re: Herbal Remedies - Garlic and HDL and LDL > Sat, 10 Dec 2005 14:22:58 -0600 > > > > > Does the garlic need to be raw.
