Guest guest
Dear Pat and Terri, When the body gets these autoimmune disorders it is running on reverse vectors. In other words, it can't have what's good for it, and often times demands what's bad for it. Anyone who is addicted to Chocolate, Coffee, Cigarettes, Sugar, White Flour, or Alcohol (to name a few) falls under this category. It becomes a real "Catch 22" and getting off this Merry-Go-Round can sometimes be very difficult. Another way of looking at it would be to compare the two different types of people = those who are trying to survive, and those who are hell bent on destruction and succumbing. Those who are succumbing feed off of those who are surving just like a vampire, and they themselves survive only so long as they are connected to survival types. They are leeches and parasitical. When the body gets on this Reverse Vector kick, it starts feeding on itself = very destructive. One of the precepts that is taught in Natural Healing is that one should learn to "listen" to one's body. The above Reverse Vector condition is the one exception to this rule. When the body is running on reverse vectors, you do not want to listen to the signals it's giving you, however you DO need to pay attention to those signals and handle them correctly if you intend to get off of that Merry-Go-Round. At least the body is offering you a key to handling the condition. Kinesiologists frequently make this mistake when they find a negative reaction to Echinacea on a client. They take their patient off of it altogether and this is the wrong thing to do. The solution is to cut back the dosage to minute quantities and raise the amount on a gradient scale so that the body becomes reeducated. I had a Kidney Patient who would simply not stop eating meat because she was "listening to her body", and yet that meat eating was killing her Kidney to the point where she ended up having a needless operation. I told her this innumerable times, but she simply wouldn't or couldn't listen. I dunno, but perhaps even her ears weren't hearing what was being said all those times. The true key is whether or not you're "starting" to get well over the first 12 day period. Usually the Reverse Vector condition above will itself start to reverse back to "Normal" by the end of that 12 days, but the full process might take as long as 12 weeks to reach a full healing where the body is now sending "survival" messages as it should be. During this time, you have to fight to ignore the body's demands for the bad stuff. This is also one of the beautiful things about the Total Nutrition and the Body Balance + Formulas. Both of these are designed to feed the body and give it the correct building blocks necessary as the body reprograms and corrects this condition. Hope this helps. So that would make sense if the immune system is already revved way up there. Also just a note regarding valerian and sleep...check it out for yourself VERY conservatively i.e. low dose because some people react just opposite with valerian. Keeps me awake til those proverbial cows come home. Lots of other people too from what I read.maddress wrote: I spent some time reading through some of the files last night. I was very intrigued. But I doubt I'll be able to do any of them since so much of it seems to revolve around Echinacea. When I was sick with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I found that anything that "boosts the immune system" was bad news. A dose of Echinacea was guaranteed to bring on terrible CFS symptoms. Even though I don't have it anymore, I'm VERY hesitant to try the herb again.Terri
