Guest guest
Kim, I saw someone recommend the Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and I tried this for a long time without fantastic results. It did help a bit though. What eventually worked the best for me is to take fill a bottle with mint and rosemary out of the garden and pour the apple cider vinegar over this. I let it sit for a couple of weeks and then strained it into a spray bottle which I spray on my hair as a rinse instead of conditioner. This really did the trick. During the winter I use mint and rosemary essential oils and get fairly good results but not quite as good as the real thing. You can buy rosemary and mint at our local natural foods coop. Guest guest
Your Very Welcome Kim !! My husband had severe dandruff as well and it worked like a charm on him. I use the vinegar on my face and hair and it makes my hair extremely soft and my skin very soft and smooth. Hope you achieve the same results ! Good Luck ! Guest guest
Some things that are working well for me; rub coconut oil into the scalp and leave on for 1 hour before showering, and switch from shampoo to Castille soap (I use the tea tree "flavor"). I have found temporary relief from diluted apple cider vinegar as well, and intend to try the rosemary/mint/ac vinegar. -Raine Stephany wrote: Kim, I saw someone recommend the Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and I tried this for a long time without fantastic results. Guest guest
Hi Stephany, Tonight what I did was mix ACV with rosemary and mint essential oils as that's all I had on hand. I applied it after washing my hair with Dr. Bronner's soap, and left it on for a good 5 minutes. It's too soon to report how this benefitted my itchy scalp, but it did help with that "rubber band" feeling that someone mentioned Dr. Bronner's soap tends to leave long hair with. My other complaint about not using shampoo is that by day 2 my hair feels like a greasy mess! I've not had this problem before so I'm not sure what that's about, unless my scalp is taking the opportunity to flush the oil glands out now that they're not clogged with shampoo? -Raine Stephany wrote: Kim, I saw someone recommend the Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and I tried this for a long time without fantastic results. My girlfriend has much more oily hair than I do and sometimes she washes her hair with baking soda and honey.
