Guest guest
Hey im a new member to the group, an i was wondering what the properties of adding a infusion of drided ginger would do to a bath. Also, how could I dry the ginger, and how much water and things do i add? If someone could give me a procedure that would be very nice. I'm very novice and need help, it will be greatly thanked. -Mark (P.S. could i use a dyhydrater to dry herbs? Do they lose properties?) Guest guest
Dry or fresh ginger is fine. Also is ginger EO but really it's terribly expensive and so precious I wouldn't bother putting it in a bath. You can use dehydrators with fresh herbs, or you can lay them on a homemade drying rack of sorts - use a clean, unused screen (such as that which covers air vents), and nail to a few piecse of wood to make a square. Then lay the herbs out not touching each other for a few days. Do not dry in direct heat - sun in other words, shade is best. Artificial heating really needs to be done carefully to preserve all properties. As for the ginger, I would make a strong tea and add it to the bath that way. Can also use ginger powder - store bought is not preferable - to the bath.
