Throbbing Toothache

Karen,

Since my teeth are my main health challenge, this is how I have handled tooth pain.

I won't call these "sure fire cures" but here are some Homeopathic suggestions that might help.

Arnica -- for a bruised feeling

Mercurius -- exess saliva with a bad taste, possibly metallic

Hypericum -- sharp, nerve pain

Silicea -- sensitive to cold or abcess at root of tooth

This is not a full repertorzation, just quick, off the top of my head suggesting.

If there is an abcess, Bentonite clay in a tea bag helps. Just put the clay bag in your mouth against the abcess and keep it there until the abcess breaks -- it may take a few hours, but it will draw to a head and break and the clay will absorb it. Afterwards, hot black tea to wash and help heal it is good. Perferably decafienated the tea by dunking in hot water for about 30 seconds, before making the cup you will drink.

Throbbing Toothache!I am new to the group. I have a gawd-awful toothache. It's probably an infected root and I need a root canal but I am too busy to sit in a dentist's chair for a couple of hours. Besides, I hate going to the dentist. Does anybody in this group have a sure-fire cure for a throbbing toothache!!!! I've tried cloves, mint, benzocaine (Ora-gel), swishing with peroxide. Aspirin helps for awhile, then the throbbing returns a couple hours later. Thank you for any help (besides telling me to go to the dentist). Karen

Swishing with ground cloves has a numbing effect. It's temporary,

though. I also worked my fingertips, pressing hard on the nail

surfaces that were tender, which gave me enough temporary relief to

help me sleep. (It's a reflexology thing.) And I took increasing

doses of White Willow bark (capsule form) and Valerian root (softgel

form) for pain. But in the end, these were ALL just temporary

measures. After 10 days of HORRIBLE pain (I was drinking my meals,

subsisting on soy protein shakes), I got in to see my dentist, who

ended up doing a root canal. Little did I know about the Tennant

Biomodulator...

This little beast, which I have ZERO vested interest in other than

being a happy customer and using it on clients who are interested

during massage, is amazing. It's a handheld battery-operated

electronic device that shoots electrons into your cells (in a good

way) balancing their polarity. While our beloved FDA has only

approved it for " muscle relaxation and re-education " , in truth it is

good for much more. I use it to clear out all my acupuncture

meridians. It does in 3 minutes what acupuncture takes a half hour to

do, because it's pumping energy INTO you, not waiting around for your

body to muster the energy itself, of which it may already be depleted.

I also use it for balancing my nervous system and shutting down my

overactive adrenals. It was my first breakthrough treatment for the

eczema rash I wrote about this summer. A friend of mine introduced me

to the machine, and I now own one. Anyone interested in any other

details may email me (off-list for better results, as I've been a bit

busy with school and haven't had a chance to log into the

as much as I'd like to) and I'd be happy to answer any questions or

give any info. LIke I said, no vested interest. Just someone who has

had an epiphany. :) And yes, in case you're wondering what all this

has to do with teeth, they make a dental attachment, and apparently,

it's sort of supposed to eliminate the need for a dentist, if you know

what I mean ;)

Blessings,
