Guest guest
Hello there Victor/Debra - crack down the middle is reported to show a weak digestion - horizontal cracks, small cracks/grooves - cracking on the tongue is a sign of malabsorption, especially B vitamins - often accompanied by a lack of energy. Thick white coating - too much mucus in the body. Sore tongue - sign of nutrient deficiency - often iron, B6 or niacin . Cracks on the right would relate to the gallbladder and on the left the liver. It would seem that any abnormality of the tongue shows deficiencies in our systems. Are there any teethmarks on the sides of the tongue? That would suggest a spleen deficiency and that the digestion is impaired. Debra and Victor - here are two interesting sites I found on tongue diagnosis. The second one is an online test you can do. (Seems I have work to do to clean and nourish my body.) http://beyondwellbeing.com/herbs/tongue-diagnosis.shtml http://www.living-energy.com.au/articles/jul05/tonguediagnosis.html I certainly am not speaking from my own knowledge, but from things I have read and find interesting. My personal opinion is that it would benefit anyone with tongue abnormalities/cracks/coating etc to do a cleanse and sort out nutritional deficiencies. I am sure the answers to that are on the Doc's site. I do have one little piece to add on herbs and spices to nourish the spleen - Garlic, Ginger, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Ginseng, Cinnamon, Dill seed, Pau d'Arco, Horseradish, Astragalus. When my mother was young, the doctors used to say, " Stick out your tongue and how's your poo? " Seems they were more natural back then!
