Hi there:

I was wondering if any of you out there feel the same way? Is it the

short days, or with the holidays coming, don't know why, but feel so

yucky and have to push myselof to do anything. If so what do you take

in a natural vit. or herb. Thanks

Have you been able to get outside and sit in the sun a bit? There is a condition called SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) that comes to our house this time every year.. one way to combat it is to be sure and have full spectrum light bulbs (walmart has them from GE and they are pretty cheap.. get the highest wattage you can and place them in the rooms you use the most at least). I try and get outside but since I hate the cold, the most I get is when I am outside doing the "critter chores" (feeding and watering my farm animals). I need to develop some self discipline and just get outside, sit on the porch and drink my teas outside instead of being cooped up in the house all the time.. But here is a cyber hug for you if that would help any!!! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

On that note, being inside most of the winter isn't the greatest... winters in Nebraska (and heating with propane) makes it tough to get truly "fresh air" unless one is outside. I have used essential oil diffusers to help (lemon oil, oregano, etc) with "freshening" and detoxifying the air but I know it isn't "enough". I have quite a few house plants and even a small water fountain but... does anyone have any more ideas to "detoxify" a home in the winter when opening windows just is not a possibility??

Hello " sweetiepie " :)

If your energy is flagging, try a thumb length of rosemary infused in a cup

of boiling water for 5 minutes. It has helped me before. You could also

sweeten it with a little raw honey.

You could also try some deep breathing - it sure helps when I am stressed -

and as you breathe in, feel the love and then breathe out all the negative

feelings. Sounds simple and it is.

There is an energy breathing you can do too: take in a deep breath, right

into the bottom of your tum, and then let it out in short little bursts

until you need to breathe deep again. Start breathing out from the top of

your chest until you expel the last of the breath at the bottom. You will be

amazed at how these simple little things can help

Drinking water also helps lift energy believe it or not.

Hope you are feeling better already!

Dear SweetiePie,

The short days can definitely have an effect to some degree.

A lot of it has to do with the holidays themselves. It is the time of year when we eat more sugar, drink more booze, and pig out in general more than any other time. It is also that time when certain family members, those we're not so crazy about, come around to add a little mental toxicity into our lives. Most people have jobs that are affected by the holidays in one way or another, so this too adds stress into our lives as managers, CEO's, and bosses in general are demanding more sales, etc.

Overall, it can be a very stressful time of the year.

Soooooooooooooo, it's not all you. LOL

:-)

In Health and Love,

Yes! And I utilized acupuncture...and it worked!

Most ppl don't have any dopamine. I don't know the details, but this

can be caused by a deficiency in certain energy meridians. I practice

self-care using an electronic device that electrically stimulates

those points and balances them out. I spent a half an hour putting

this machine on all my points around my wrists and ankles, and I've

never had more energy in my life! My sadness (and also my easy

susceptibility to getting depressed over other peoples' hardships)

went AWAY, and that was 3 days ago. I'm still emphathetic and caring,

I just don't let it GET to me and affect my whole life like before.

No drugs, just this device. I'm also relaxed and calm, yet bubbling

with energy, at the same time. Hard to explain, but a wonderful

feeling. You can achieve the same results with acupuncture. It's

subtle, so you have to pay attention and be in tune with your body and

mind. It's also not a quick fix, it's an ongoing thing. You must do

it when your energies get blocked. YOu'll know when that is, you feel

the symptoms now. Listen to your body and go when you need to.

Having a massage therapist who knows acupressure stimulate the same

points with your thumbs or a massage tool. The effect may or may not

be as pronounced, but it certainly can't hurt.

Blessings,
