Guest guest
I got a black eye on Saturday.. doing Kung Fu excercises with my 15 y.o. son and got smacked because I was in the wrong place. I thought I would just deal with it, but it's still swollen and black and blue. Never had one before so not sure how long it will take to go away. Is there something that is easily available that I can use on it? Thea
Guest guest
Dear Thea, Believe it or not, the old remedy of putting a raw steak on is still one of the best remedies. Hot and Cold Therapy are also wonderous with this kind of thing. This is what I'd try. A heating pad and an Ice Pack used alternatively should do the trick. Guest guest
Thea, My 5 year old daughter got hit in the face with a wooden baseball bat on Sunday. She's swollen and turning green and blue now. I just iced it initially, haven't tried any heat yet. Oh, it was an accident, she walked up behind my son just as he was swinging. Don't think she'll do that again. SNIP. I got a black eye on Saturday.. Dear Thea, I agree with Doc Ian, but I would also make some chammomile tea. Soak a washcloth in the tea (make sure it is not too hot!) and use it as a compress over the eye. Drink the rest! Warm regards and continue to be, Lori
