Guest guest
Hello! I sent my husband to the health food store (25 miles away) a couple of years ago to pick up some "bentonite clay" (I was making bath stuff). He brought home a 32 oz bottle of liquid bentonite which obviously wasn't something I was looking for at the time. Recently, I found it, still unopened and started wondering how to use it. It says on the label to take a Tablespoon daily to help clear the bowels and it treats up to 900 sq ft per Tablespoon. I am wondering if it is something really safe to use. I drink coffee (too much) and have been having problems with my "plumbing" lately. While I realize Doc's formula works and should be used, the frugal part of me wonders if I should try this bentonite liquid or is there any other use for it? Thank you!Terri Version: 7.1.362 / Virus Database: 267.12.8/166 - Release 11/10/2005
Guest guest
I heard that psyllium makes you bloated thats what I heard and I stopped taking it for that reason....Teri In a message dated 11/12/05 8:24:14 AM Pacific Standard Time, heather writes: Hi Terri, I use a combination of liquid bentonite and psyllium as part of my colon cleansing routine as suggested by my colon hydrotherapist. I typically use 1T. bentonite to 1 tsp. psyllium to 1 cup water. It gels VERY quickly so you have to "shoot it". Make sure you drink 8 oz. of water immediately after and if you don't already drink sufficient water during the day, you'll need to increase that as well so as not to constipate. I've found bentonite is great for cleaning out the crevices in the colon.
