Guest guest
Hi, everyone! I am looking for your advice on my situation. I am a 34 year old woman (will be 35 next week). About a year and a half ago, I was having dizziness and migraines and heart palpitations. I was referred to a cardiologist who put me on a Holter monitor for 24 hours. The results were that I did occasionally have a premature atrial beat but the doctor said it wasn't serious enough to warrant any treatment. The migraines and dizziness persisted, and my family doctor sent me for a CT scan but nothing unusual showed up. I was then referred to a neurologist in Nov 2004, who attributed my migraines to high blood pressure (at that time, it was about 165/100 if my memory is correct). He put me on Adalat XL, and my blood pressure has gone down and migraines greatly reduced. The past 2 weeks, I have been experiencing chest pain and dizziness. On Wednesday night, I had a stabbing pain in my chest with dizziness and facial flushing and I was on the verge of blacking out. We called 911 and I was rushed to hospital. They ran 2 EKGs and bloodwork and a chest xray. Nothing unusual except that my TSH was showing me as slightly hyperthyroid (I should add that I have been taking Desiccated Thyroid since 1998 for hypothyroid and feel better slightly hyperthyroid). The doctor at the hospital chalked up my chest pain and dizziness to being hyperthyroid, but I don't believe that to be true because if it was, then I would most certainly have had these problems all throughout the past 7 years! Anyway, I was discharged from the hospital early Thursday morning. Thursday night and Friday night (last night), I had the chest pain with heart palpitations and dizziness and facial flushing again. I am getting frustrated and scared. I have an appointment for follow-up with my family doctor, but that's not until the 16th. In the interim, I've cut caffeine out of my diet (I used to have 3 cups coffee daily) so as to not stimulate my body. What do you think is going on with me, and is there anything I can take to help? Thanks for your advice, Darlene
Guest guest
Hi Darlene, Two things you can check: The Total Body Cleanse, which is in any case a good thing to do to improve your general health, and the Female Formula. I don't know if this is at all an issue, but I thought of possible pre-menopause symptoms here??? I may be totally wrong, but it might be worth checking out? Except for the migraines (which I don't know anything about), I do know all the other symptoms would fit a pre-menopause picture. love Lisa - ndgoodman herbal remedies Saturday, November 05, 2005 7:36 PM Herbal Remedies - Chest pain, dizziness, high blood pressure Hi, everyone! Guest guest
Hi Darlene, Don't worry too much about this: I have heard that pre-menopause symptoms can start up to 10 years before the actual menopause! The contraceptive pill has a lot to do with such an imbalance of hormones, as well as food/drink additives. Anyhow, you can take the Female Formula, and if it relieves the symptoms, then most likely it is some kind of imbalance of your hormones that is causing this :-) love Lisa - ndgoodman herbal remedies Saturday, November 05, 2005 11:16 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - Chest pain, dizziness, high blood pressure Hi, Lisa:"Lisa de Haas" <lisa > Two things you can check: The Total Body Cleanse, which is in any case a > good thing to do to improve your general health, and the Female Formula. Guest guest
At the risk of being totally off bases...have you been under a lot of pressure lately??? Some of what you have mentioned sounds a lot like the anxiety/panic attacks I used to have. I had tehm occassionally throughout my life, but they peaked a few months before my husband died and for a few motnhs after. I occassionally get one but not to the extent I had them at one time. They feel (at least mine did) just like I was ahving a heart attack ; other times they would just make me feel real nervous and sh akey and like I couldn't breather. I found since I have been able to get my blood pressure lower and I no longer have the mega-stressers in my life that I seldom have them anymore. Guest guest
Hi, Kay & all: > " Wyldrose " <wyldrose > At the risk of being totally off bases...have you been under a lot of pressure lately??? Some of what you have mentioned sounds a lot like the anxiety/panic attacks I used to have. Yes, I am under a lot of stress right now, as a matter of fact! As I mentioned in a previous post, my cat had a renal " crash " in August so I have been busy researching treatment options and educating my veterinarian. On top of that, I work part-time in the mornings, and I have a young daughter (3.5 years). It also happens that my professional licensing exam is on November 28th, so I have been in a panic about that because I don't know how I'm going to cram in study time So, yes, I have been under quite a bit of stress! I have heard of heart palpitations and chest pains relating to anxiety attacks, but is blacking out also a symptom? Personally, I think that my condition is probably a combination of things, stress being one of them. I think I may be having problems with the medication, and my body likely needs detoxing since I haven't done one since before pregnancy because I've been nursing. I assume that I have to wait to do the Total Body Cleanse until I'm not lactating anymore? By the way, how did you get your blood pressure lower? Thanks for your advice! Guest guest
Three years ago I also had a gastric bypass and lost 150lbs. I had many of the same symptoms as you. I am much healthier now. This is also what started me on my journey of health. I began learning how processed food was very bad for me and turned to more natural food. I now have a garden with veggies and many herbs. I have also started to make my own medicine, creams and lotions. This winter I hope to learn how to make soap. The surgery was a real turning point in my life. I do wish that I had taken the time when I was young to learn what I know now. Then the surgery would never had been an option. OH Well Collee I had a a gastric by-pass and lost +170 pounds. My blood pressure went from high to low-normal. I had other health issues also that were life threatening. Hope is hearing the melody of the future. Faith is to dance to it now. copyright © 2001 www.hushport.com

Guest guest
Darlene, I suggest that you go to the doctor to make sure that is is not your heart. I have a friend that her son died from a MI at 32, yes he was overweight and had prior drug use that can affect the heart, but the fact is that he left 4 small children. I have also be diagnosed with a heart condition and put on medications at 46, I have always tried to stay healthy other than being over weight, diabetes runs in my family and my dad and his family had heart problems.
