Guest guest
Hey Rob, Thanks for the guidance on the Total Tonic! I made it up and Dad and I both took our first dose. I must say that was about the most vile thing I've ever had in my mouth! Haha. I have an unfortunate policy of trying everything that I make him take so I know what I'm putting him through and what the effects may be. But, it seems to me like it will be well worth it. The only bad thing so far is that I'm not experienced at dealing with horseradish and either that or the habaneros burned my hands pretty badly. So my suggestion to others is to wear gloves when you're dealing with hot roots or peppers! Now, a final question, for someone like my dad who is ventilator dependent and regularly battles respiratory infections, would a low dose all the time be good at prevention? Guest guest
YES I take it all the time and my low dose is 2t in water twice daily. I only get a head cold when I forget to take it. Guest guest
Spot, I made the total tonic late last week. I put some of the mash on my husband's flat bread sandwich. It was great. My husband says 'You realize this won't make it to two weeks'. referencing the, let it sit for two weeks then strain part. It's so good. We love garlic and we love hot. I was a little heavy handed on the hobinaro's. It's smokin! Everytime I walk in the kitchen, there he is with the corn chips out, eating it like salsa. Ha Ha. Guest guest
Debra.. That is awesome! Just make another batch. As long as you guys are getting it into your body i think the 2 week wait can wait for the next batch. Glad you enjoy. I made " doubles " last time, threw in oregano and tumeric... very interesting.
