Guest guest
Hey you all. I'm helping my father fight off his first cold of the season and am planning to go the Total Tonic and Echinacea route. I'm about to make the Total tonic now, and have 2 questions. 1) I remembered incorrectly and bought Habaneros peppers rather than Cayenne. Will the habaneros work? 2) If I'm planning to use the mash right away rather than waiting for tincture, how much do I use? Thanks so much in advance! Guest guest
Cayenne is actually the family name for hot peppers. Habaneros are a type of cayenne pepper and will work great in total tonic. Habanero peppers tend to be on the hotter side which is what you are looking for. Don't put too many in, though, to make it unbearable. If someone is sick, then you want to load up on the mash. You can't OD on the stuff. Make sure to drink plenty of water to help flush the toxins out. Also look into doing the hot/cold showers....these are very invigorating and are great for moving lymph fluid around as well as increase circulation. Start slow with these if there is any history of heart problems.....Shower on hot for 30 seconds or so, then on cold for 20-30 seconds, repeat this cycle for 3-4 rounds.....I end on hot in the winter and cold in the summer.... I do these every morning and they are great. As for dosage, I would do 2 tablespoons 4-6 times a day for the first day when someone is sick.... The only side effect you may get is runny bowel movements.... the next day depending on how the person is feeling you can lower it a bit....but you want to get the body saturated with the great anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral properties of the total tonic.... Let me know if there are any other questions....
