Guest guest
I have a couple of friends who are dealing with REALLY intense PMS. One has endemetriosis, and is already ON birth control to control the symptoms, but has shown interest in getting off of them. My other friend has ovarian cysts, psychotic PMS. She has now decided to go on birthcontrol to deal with it. I would like to offer them both more natural ways of dealing with these symptoms. Does anyone know of anything that they can do/take that would help alleviate any of the symptoms. Mostly depression and pain.
Guest guest
Just listened to a tape by a naturopath Dr. and I also was looking through a book at the health food store. They both said that most females are estrogen dominant, causing PMS symptoms, fibroids, endemetriosis, osteoporiosis, cravings, headaches, etc. etc..from unbalanced hormones. I have a paper on all the symtoms. That many women need natural progestrone to balance out their hormones, thus eliminating many problems. Many Drs automatically prescribe estrogen, which cause more problems... the pill may contain some estrogen? You can find a good creme, containing natural progestrone (sp) at the health food store.. it contains wild yam. Some are better than others.. Guest guest
For pms symptoms, I like Wild yam - you can get liquid from the health food store; or you can eat sweet potatos. Calcium chews are good- the calcium is soothing to nerves, so helps take the edge off. Also perhaps adding some soy may help enhance hormones and lessen the roller-coster of changing hormone levels. Guest guest
The best remedy I know is Doc's Female Formula - see the files of the group for details. It's very potent and handles symptoms really fast and re-balances the hormones. One thing I noticed though: try to start taking it in between periods. If you start it at the start or during the period, then my experience was that it increased the pain of the period. But I didn't have that problem if I started in the middle! love Lisa - fyrespryte herbal remedies Thursday, October 13, 2005 12:28 AM Herbal Remedies - Herbs for intense PMS I have a couple of friends who are dealing with REALLY intense PMS.
