I know this isn't an herb but has he tried cod liver

oil? It sounds like he needs more vitamin D. You need

to look for a brand such as Carlson's that does

extensive testing for contaminants. My entire family

takes cod liver oil in the darker months, which for us

is as soon as school starts. We take fish oil in the

summer when we are in the sun a lot.

Depression.

Hi all, I'm somewhat of a lurker here, but I learn a

lot from

listening! :D

I wanted to seek your wisdom for my father...he's a

moody sort, and he

always seems to get really cranky, critical, and

somewhat depressed at

this time of year...by December of last year, we all

wanted to kill

him! (Haha - joke.) We were thinking St. John's Wort?

but I wanted to

hear everyone's thoughts first. There's another herb

that has been

recommended, and it's right on the tip of my

tongue...H...something? Anyway,

I would appreciate any possible suggestions. Flax

Seed oil has helped

me a bit in the past, but I think that's too " mild "

for his situation.<<

I would be very hesitant to use a water pik on any area where a tooth has

just been extracted. It is too easy to break open the healing scab and

cause serious problems. Your dentist or the doctor doing the extractions

should be able to provide your husband with an irrigator specifically for

use in these areas. Gently flushing the areas with honey diluted in water

would be helpful. Honey is an antibacterial agent and has healing

properties. Granda (Tina)

RE: A tooth?? this time

I have had this problem before... I took a water pick and put some tea tree

oil in the water and pummeled the area. I also did the same thing with

garlic juice. If you do not have a water pick, you can do the same thing

with a syringe or something that can squirt a stream of water.

I was suggesting that for an infected tooth that has NOT been extracted. Or

an infection in an area that has been extracted for some time.
