My Dh has 3 impacted wisdom teeth that he will be having pulled nov

8th.

One of wich is infected, what can He use( herbs, teas, mouthrinse)

that will help him get rid of the infection??

And what can he use for the pain and to help him heal after they are

pulled???

I have had this problem before... I took a water pick and put some tea tree

oil in the water and pummeled the area. I also did the same thing with

garlic juice. If you do not have a water pick, you can do the same thing

with a syringe or something that can squirt a stream of water.

Bev,

Oregano Essential Oil, mixed at a 10% dilution with Olive Oil should help

with this problem. Make sure you get a PURE Oregano EO..... Otherwise, I

would NOT do this.

Mix the EO with the olive oil, and swish this in the mouth a bit, right

before swallowing. Do this 3 times per day, and he should be right as rain

soon.

I purchase my Oregano EO from www.av-at.com I am not affiliated with this

website in anyway, but I do love their products. Very good stuff, and good

prices. I've not been disappointed yet.

The Oregano Vulgare should be the best choice for this particular problem,

because it is highest in Carvacrol.

HTH,

Candy

Doc's Tooth & Gum formula should handle this - check out the files in the group's website for the recipe.

In addition to the excellent advice you have already received, for

after the surgery, wet tea bags applied to the open wounds will lessen

the pain and help healing. Just use regular black tea as the tannins

in it are what does the trick. I believe the caffine also assists with

the pain. Soak the tea bag in warm water and have your husband place

the bag over the surgery site and gently bite down. The key is GENTLY,

this is supposed to be a compress and not a tourniquet! :-)

Good luck!
