Does anyone know anything about colitis. Are t here any remedies??? I have not really looked anywhere yet but will as soon as I finish this letter. One doctor had told my daughter that she has something like ulcers in the colon, but when she went to Mexico to a very good doctor he said she has colitis. Her stomach has been large and she does not feel like eating. sharon

Colitis IS ulcers in the colon, basically. The eroded areas can bleed and cause alot of pain just like ulcers in the stomach.

 

I've been hospitalized for colitis years ago. At that time, I was kept for about 1 week, and given lots of antibiotics. <shiver>

 

My best recommendation is to take a good probiotic blend, which helps add the correct flora and fauna back into the colon. Yogurt and Buttermilk really seemed to help mine tremendously.

 

From my experience, my colon was so sensitive and painful that I don't know if I would recommend a cleanse at this point, but certainly would give it a try after her colon seems to be healed after taking the probiotics.
