NEWARK, New Jersey (AP) -- Three mice infected with the bacteria responsible for bubonic plague apparently disappeared from a laboratory about two weeks ago, and authorities launched a search though health experts said there was scant public risk.

....and let's not brush off the rest of the story...and keep in mind

....it's harder to diagnose septicemic plague, which circulates in the bloodstream and pneumonic plague, which infects the lungs and is particularly, dangerous because it can be transmitted through coughing

....plus the pneumonic form of the plague wiped out one-quarter of Europe's population in the 14th century.

I just wonder, hmm, probably OT for this group, but is everyone aware that in New Orleans, under the waters that is now in the gulf, there were three biomedical research labs? Is this a known fact to the general public?

 

Some of the things that were being studied are scary. I would definitely play it safe, and will, since I live here, no one in my family will be eating from there for a long long time. Imagine the household cleaners alone that were under kitchen sinks in New Orleans! Imagine the bug killers and the businesses that spray for termites and such--they, too, went under water. There are home that were so wet that cabinets were washed out of homes. Drat--toxic soup for sure.

Without a doubt NOLA is in a most noxious state of doom to say the least...I was saved by the grace of God to be relocated three years ago from there...now spending my time helping friends I was fortunate enough to find...JOYintheMorning...
