Guest guest
Namaste All- I guess I'll start with a brief introduction. My name is Devi and I have had an interest in herb lore and herbal healing for about 9 years now. There have been many, MANY instances where allopathic medicine has not been able to help my family or myself. It was this that originally brought me to herbs. Currently I have two questions: 1) I've had some crazy virus for the past month which the doctor is unable to indentify. At first he thought it was the measles or Scarlet fever, but I have not had a fever, so I can't have had either of those - plus it has lasted too long. My basic symptoms are malaise, headaches, digestive trouble, photosensitivity (manifesting as really severe headaches and eye-pain), random bouts of nausea, and a recurrent rash (it does look similar to a measles rash) that is ITCHY! I've been keeping myself sane by using Benedryl and Cortaid cream. I was hoping that someone could suggest some remedy that might provide some relief & /or a recipe to speed recovery. 2) I'm looking for suggestions on really good books on herbal healing. Friday was my birthday and I received a nice gift certificate to Amazon.ca, and I would like to get 1 or 2 great books on that subject. Thanks!! ~Devi~
Guest guest
Hello Devi, and welcome! The best book is: School of Natural Healing by Dr John Christopher. For any viral infection I'd recommend Doc's Total Tonic and Echinacea tinture; both recipes are in the files on our website. love Lisa - prana_devi herbal remedies Monday, September 12, 2005 3:35 PM Herbal Remedies - Introduction and Questions Namaste All-I guess I'll start with a brief introduction. Guest guest
> Hello, It sounds to me like you are having an allergic reaction to something, not a virus. Have you eaten any new foods, used any new household/and or personal products, been exposed environmentally to any chemicals, worn new clothing, had new textiles or furnature in the home, etc.?Let us know. Warm regards, Lori 1) I've had some crazy virus for the past month which the doctor is > unable to indentify. >
