Guest guest
Hello List Members, I am so glad I found this group. I am learning about the use of herbs and trying to stay from scripts. There is so much wonderful information here. I have two questions, Does anyone know of anything that will help MS? I know there isn't a cure, but maybe something to make the quality of life better. My grandson has been diagnosed with MS. My husband was in an accident in January of 05. Both of his legs were broken, deep cuts above his knees. They put a rod in his left leg. and sewed up his cuts, but he still has a lot of pain, his left hip hurts so bad he has to get off his feet and he has trouble sleeping because of the pain. Can't sleep more than a couple of hours at a time. His right leg gives way and he falls if he doesn't have his brace on(he hates wearing it) The Dr released him the end of July and said he couldn't do anything else for him. I have pictures of his injurys if needed. I do make a healing salve with comfrey and the Dr was amazed at how fast his wounds closed up and healed. After reading about the Deep Tissue Repair oil I thought it might be the answer to the pain pills he is taking. I want to make some, but was wondering if it burned the skin when applied. Also how much does the recipe make and how long will it keep. Sorry this is such a long post, but if anyone can help me I would be most grateful. TIA Glenora
Guest guest
Hi Glenora, Deep Tissue Repair oil will give the sensation of burning, but obviously does not in fact burn the skin. It's just a very hot sensation from the cayenne :-) love Lisa - candleworks7 herbal remedies Sunday, September 11, 2005 4:27 PM Herbal Remedies - New to list and Deep Tissue Repair Oil After reading about the Deep Tissue Repair oil I thought it might bethe answer to the pain pills he is taking. Guest guest
To be safe, why not try it on a small spot first. Cayenne does not affect most people but it does affect some. Better safe than sorry! Peace, Thyme
Guest guest
Thank you Lisa and Thyme for your input. I will make a small amount and try it on him and hope it helps and doesn't burn.I know Cayenne is hot. I think Wintergreen is too. I will cut the recipe and make only 1/4 or 1/8. It sounds like a wonderful oil from what I read. I will let you know how it works for me. A man from the CDC in Atlanta told me to gargle with cayenne and let just a little trinkle down my throat for colds and flu. He said it would kill virus and bacteria. I have used it ever since and it really works. Shortens recovery time. Almost immediately opens your sinus and you can breathe. I had a sore throat this morning and after I gargled it didn't come back all day. To Violet, the recipe is in the files of this list. Sorry I was so late responding, but I work long hours. I leave for work at 6:45a and get home somewhere between 7:00p and 8:00p Love, Glenora
