Stubborn Urinary Tract Infection

I finally found a combination for my urinary infections but it took many trials of different herbs.

At first uva ursi and usnea helped but eventually did not help anymore. Then I tried this combination that worked finally, thank God.

I then tried Queen of the Meadow (Gravel Root) and dandelion leaf and root combo. That helped a lot but the infection lingered on even though much improved. Then I added Marshmallow (Althea Officinalis), and also Golden Seal. I kept this up for at least 6 months and drank a lot of raspberry tea to wash all the herbs down. I have been free of any infection for over a year now and this was a chronic condition for me. I found that a trigger was any type of alcohol, even though I have never drank that much and had an occasional glass of wine or if out with friends a glass of peach schnapps with vodka. I will never again drink any alcohol.

Try these herbs and see if they help you.

Peace, Thyme

Hello,

My name is Maryanne. I just came across your group and I am

wondering what herbs you recommend for a very, very, stubborn

urinary tract infection.

I have in the past tried Uva-Ursi, Cornsilk, Echinacea and

Goldenseal mix, Cranberry capsules etc. All of which seem to take of

the edge or last for awhile but not long enough.

I was looking for something to keep my bladder clean and strengthen

my kidney's. I understand you would not be responsible for my

health. I have the PDR for Herbal Medicines and the German

Commission E's book on Herbal Remedies but for some reason I can't

concentrate enough or I'm overwhelmed mentally right now and can't

focus. So if you can make some suggestions, I will research in my

books and hopefully try something new (or old again).

Thank you so much, and God bless you and yours,

Maryanne

Juniper berries is the herb for the kidneys. I had a friend even simply put a dropperful of cayenne in a glass of water and seen results fast and keep on doing it. And even if you add it with the juniper berries it is sopouse to make it more powerful. Also drink lemon water not a wedge I squezzed 2 lemon in 16 ounces of water and put a dropperful of cayenne to, if you like you can use a little maple syrup to sweeten it.

Thank you very much Gina.......I ordered another round of the Juniper berries off a site on the net, maybe I will have to stay on them the rest of my life. I have never tried cayenne and I am going to get some today or tomorrow and use it on my food etc. Thanks again,

Hello and thank you very much........I have never tried the Gravel Root or Marshmallow........I am also coming to the conclusion I might have to take something for the rest of my life daily instead of when I get the infection. I am embarking on "The Maker's Diet" and I will also see what happens with this new eating habit. I believe alcohol may have triggered them in the past but I definately know for a fact that sweets and sugary foods always trigger them. I also "think" coffee might, I usually drink regular, green and herbal teas not but I used to be addicted to coffee until my stomach could not handle it so I go back to it sometimes, ( however I usually put a little sugar in the coffee so that might be it to). Well, thanks again and my best to you!!

Maryanne,

I would suggest that you take Vitamin C at least 1500

mg daily, it is better if you take 500mg three times a

day. It acidifies the urine and helps prevent

infections, and what the body does not use it is

flushed out of the system. There is also a product

that you can by over the counter call ASO Standard

that you may take for I think 10 days, follow the

directions on the bottle/box.

Good Luck, Jeanna

Hi Maryann,

You want the Kidney / Bladder Formula in the HR Files.

You also want to make some lifestyle changes and discover what you are doing that created the condition in the first place. It didn't "just happen".

Dear Maryanne,

The Juniper Berries are great!

Also, go to your local health food store and ask the produce manager if you can help him prepare his organic corn by husking it for him. Then ask him if you can keep the corn silk for your help.

He'll love the help and the fresh corn silk is awesome for urinary tract infections, cleaning the kidneys, and helping to dissolve any stones that might be there or are forming.

Fresh Parsley would also be great to add to the cornsilk tea you're making. ;-)
