Guest guest
hi everyone. i am very curious about this question. are people allowed to sell their medicinal tonics and extracts at flea markets and the general population? the reason why im asking is because i have a few good recipes that i feel would sell great to the public. things that people need ,like marshmallow syrup for sore throats and echinacea extract (whole plant) and at least a 100 and 1 different potions from klosses herbal book. so im curiuos as to the legality behind it. im so gung ho about herbolgy that i want to go to school for chinese herbal medicine. any ideas? im told you cant sell alcohol in the flea market but apple cider vinegar seems to work in a pinch. would i need a special license? im thinking of making my own tincures and my own bottles and labeling. im also coming into 50 acres of land this january and feel that i could grow and sell what i find passionate in my life. so thats my question. ps- hi lisa -remember i asked about the gel caps? oh man -that was so nasty,i had to wash my tongue twice and eat anything that would kill the taste. never take oils in the raw. i felt like i scared myself mentally-lol im still looking for soft gell caps -so if you hear about any please let me know. michael. Guest guest
Call the flea market you where you want to sell and ask them. You probably will need a resale or retail license and you MUST be careful about making claims of what your product is used for, if you say it heals you are in trouble, you can say traditionall or historically these herbs have been used for and have herb books with you to substantuate what you say, but it's better to let them read in the book themselves and come to their own conclusions, I used to work in a health food store and those were the rules, to stay out of trouble with the health dept. and the FDA.
