essential oils...recipes for cleaners

Here are some of the stuff that I use to clean my house.

For my general all purpose cleaner this is what I use:

These are all approximate cause I never use a measuring spoon just my eye.

 

1 tsp. Borax

2 tbsp. white vinegar (heinz is what I use)

1 tsp. natural dish soap(I get this at the health food store)

2 cups warm water

5or so drops lavender essential oil

10 drops grapefruit essential oil

 

Put water and Borax in a spray bottle and shake until mixed.

Add the other ingredients, shake again.

 

washing floors (mine are wood so I just sponge it on I don't use a mop)

1/2 cup vinegar

2 tbsp. natural dish soap

2 gallons warm water

10 drops lavender essential oil

10 drops grapefruit essential oil

 

 

In the bathroom:

1 tsp. Borax

1 tsp. natural dish soap

3 tbsp. white vinegar

2 cups hot water

10 drops eucalyptus essential oil

15 drops lavender essential oil

5 drops lemon oil

 

mix the same as the general purpose

 

 

Tub and sink scrubber

1/3 cup baking soda

1/3 cup Borax

1 tsp natural dish soap

5 drops eucalyptus

5 drops lavender

 

Mix ingredients in a small container

put a small amount of water in tub or sink

and put some scrub on a rag or sponge

wash and rinse

 

Laundry Soap

1 cup baking soda

1 cup borax

1 cup powdered castile soap

10 drops lavender essential oil

10 drops lemon essential oil

Mix together and place in a tightly covered container

use 1/2 a cup to each load

add 1 tbsp vinegar at the start of each load
