GNC has a product called WEIGHT GAINER 2200......okay isnt a herb but it helps MOM....

it is used by body builders etc.....

I use it for mom(82years old) to keep her weight up as she is a very poor eater.

It calls for mixing 1cup at a time in milk etc......is way to much for her.

I mix 1/3 Cup protein mix in 8oz of 1/2 and 1/2 for her to drink.....each drink supplies when mixed this way 750calories plus all types of protein/mineral/vit. So if he drank 3 of these a day long with his other food he could sure up is protein and cal intake. It needs to be mixed at the time it is drank so will not deproteinize. I use a magic wand mixer but he could shake it real well also while at work i guess.....just wouldn't be as creamy.....

mom likes the chocolate/ but comes in vanilla/ strawberry and banana.....

just an idea....or not even at work....just one with breakfast and one before bed......would give him 1500cal.........and if he can drink larger quantities which mom cant he can make them bigger and even add ice cream to them....

I'm not an expert at having to gain weight LOL!! But I would think that he should up his caloric and protien intake. Maybe some good quality, natural protien shakes throughout the day. Of course this would not be in place of his meals and snacks, just an addition.

You hear alot about those needing assistance to lose weight but what about someone that has a hard time GAINING weight ????

I have a friend that has to constantly watch the scales to make sure he isn't losing to much..........he is about 5' 10 and weighs about 140 lbs. He has been this way all his so far of 40 years. He works construction so puts out alot of energy and sweat but he is the same way even in the winter. We have worked up an intestinal detox and detoxed with the equivalent of the "Essiac"tea. But still the weight is hard to maintain and he would actually like to gain 10 to 20 pounds.

What am I over looking here ? Would appreciate any suggestions ?

Blessings,Marlene

Greetings,

The only thing you're overlooking is the concept of just giving the

body all it needs for nutrition and to be as clean and healthy as

possible, and then leaving it alone and let it do its thing. If the

body gains weight, it gains weight. If not, that's fine, too. Our

bodies are infinitely smarter than we are about what they need. Any

attempt to operate outside of a healthy, natural, balanced diet is

playing with fire, either now or later. Just live in accordance

with the same genius-like Nature that created the body in the first

place. This Nature already endowed our planet with every single

nutrient imaginable that we would EVER need. We need to simply eat

it, and stop tinkering with it.

And I would avoid GNC. Their products are anything but natural and

the way they follow harmful fads (that the sheeple demand), they're

setting themselves up for eventual lawsuits (probably from the same

sheeple.)

Blessings,
