Has he ever been tested for parasites?

I have a friend that has to constantly watch the scales to make sure he isn't losing to much..........he is about 5' 10 and weighs about 140 lbs. He has been this way all his so far of 40 years. He works construction so puts out alot of energy and sweat but he is the same way even in the winter. We have worked up an intestinal detox and detoxed with the equivalent of the "Essiac"tea. But still the weight is hard to maintain and he would actually like to gain 10 to 20 pounds.

What am I over looking here ? Would appreciate any suggestions ?

We did a parasite detox a few months ago and just finished a 7 day colon cleanse. I've added some amino supplements and watching to see if the nutritional absorption improves. If not, then we may do a longer colon cleanse.............
