I've never done it... it seems to me that eventually it's going to gum up the works...but that's 'eventually'... if we are talking one of the little ones that you'd put in a child's room...what do they cost? maybe $30? (my youngest just turned 30 so I'm not sure on the prices of baby equipment any more but if, say, the EO eats the plastic in a few years...some folks might like using the cool mist, and treating it as a disposable piece of equipment. but...I live in a damp climate, so adding humidity is not normally something desireable.
