Guest guest
Once, some time ago I put a couple drops of EO in the water reservoir of a cool mist humidifier and it did funk the plastic up a bit on the inside of the tank, you could see it ... since then I learned What I do now actually is put a few drops of an EO on a tissue and place the tissue on top of the fan portion of the unit that blows the water vapor out of it. Actually I DID do that when I lived in the dry climate of Colorado, but here in south eastern Texas off the Gulf I'm not going to be needing a cool mist humidifier - maybe I could use a dehumidifier ... *Smile* Chris http://www.alittleolfactory.com Janet Golden-Hogan [janetkgolden] Monday, November 17, 2003 12:39 PM RE: Eo's in humidifer Janine >Hey, do you know if putting an eo in a humidifier would work? cool mist, >even if it was a wee bit, would it gum up the filter? I went through in 4 years 4 humidifiers because of EO's eating the plastic and rubber parts until I found one that has a little cup on top to hold the EO's. I love it and have been using it for 2 years now. It is a Health at Home by Sunbeam. I don't know if they even sell them anymore. I bought 4 off of ebay. I kept one and gave the others away. Wish I had kept another for my living room but.... Guest guest
ah...sunbeam. the BEST thing they could do is to come out with their crocker cooker fryer again for we baby boomers. I still have mine, but's it's old and worn. I keep writing them, but to no avail yet. Sunbeam sure made the best products. If anyone has one for sale, I'll buy it if it's reasonable. Thanks for the tip Cheryl in Alaska, home of the super cold winters and the aurora borealis. I am absolutely green with envy, but the good kind, where I'm glad someone gets to live up there. Guest guest
Hey Janine, Yes I am very lucky to live in Alaska. Last week we had unseasonably high temps and this week it is unseasonably low temps. Only 3 inches of snow and at least a month late but it is still absolutely beautiful, even in the city. If I find another Sunbeam humidifier I will keep you in mind. Cheryl > > Thanks for the tip Cheryl in Alaska, home of > the super cold winters and the > aurora borealis.
