Hi Butch -

I know every single CC purchase I make that's how little I try to use my cards.

Fortunate that is because when I saw $1,400 in concert tickets and $800 in

flights to Miami charged to my card I knew exactly where it would have

originated and told the CC company so - a moving truck rental business.

The bad part is that according to the CC company they cannot tell us the outcome

- who they found to be the culprit. It's part of privacy...for the bum!!! That

pissed me off. I'd like to know 'cuz I'd like to let consumers be aware that

there is a criminal in our neighborhood - apparently that is not legal to do.

OT: Credit Card Fraud

Hi y'all,

Long I've been telling folks that its not the telephone lines we have to

worry about .. and we shouldn't get warm fuzzies when a clerk hands us

back the carbon. Its anywhere between that clerk and the accounting

department .. one weak link is all it takes. Well .. today I learned

that I was preaching the truth.

Got a letter from one of my credit cards .. said I owed six hundred and

so and so bucks. Well .. during my 90 days in the USA I lived on my

credit cards .. but the day afore I caught the plane they were all paid

down to zero .. and haven't been used since then.

However, since that time .. over $600 has been charged on one of them.

Took one phone call to make it go away .. and the person on the other

end must have had a good deal of experience dealing with CC fraud as he

immediately said it looked like someone was fraudulently using my card.

Funny part is .. whoever this dummy is that has been using the card is

gonna get his/her butt in a bind cause they paid their AOL account two

times with it.

Anyway .. just thought I'd throw this out as its sorta comical in one

respect .. and sad in another. But USAA Visa says they are certain this

one has stuck his/her dumb neck in the noose. ;-p Butch
