Guest guest
Interesting thread, it is a confusing topic so many people have given me suppliers, I tried a few and they were good and bad, one of the suppliers was recommended by my aromatherapy teacher and she is a rep. so bias maybe but good oils, do I continue to use them, no, not because they are not good - but because first you can't get larger quantities and second the shipping time to be seemed to take too long. To the most experienced on this list, I think you have a burden of having the newbies -like me- counting on word of mouth, however in the end we must go with what works for us. I take alot into consideration and check out alot of prices, YL- they might have the best oils in the world( go ahead and laugh now) but I have never to *MY* knowledge touched their oils, I will not buy from them simply because of marketing, it comes across to me as slimy. I inquired a few weeks ago to a supplier, I do not believe in condeming someone simply because of my experience, they may have great oils, and I may have asked the wrong questions, however I was not pleased with the answers I received and never ordered samples because I am not greedy- they didn't make a good impression on me so why get sample if I know I don't want to do business with them- am I limiting myself? maybe -also- right now I can't and don't want to deal with suppliers that are outside of the US, I may be missing out on great products, but just starting out its not the route I want to take. Does Butch have the best oils?? I don't know, but again leaning on the experience of people on this list and recommendations- I can think for myself- but the kindness of people ON THIS LIST, who at their own expense with nothing to gain that have sent me oils that I know were Butch's I have to believe that there is great confidence in his products. So I rely on my instinct, I bought from him and not only was I very pleased with the product, but with the customer service, the shipping time, and what I percieve as a honest business man, who I have personal knowledge that he has taken a significant loss recently on the fact that he quoted a price and stuck with it and didn't have to, and he isn't selling me a product and MIA, nor have I seen him say only buy from me, I am a person not a order number- he is posting on the list and a part of this " community " he answers questions, all of this comes into play where I spend my money, not just quality Anyway in the end, like was said, get the samples, do your research and go with what feels right to you because in the end if your reselling its your butt on the line.
