Guest guest
Isn't Petitgrain made from the neroli plant? Is sweet lavender different from high-altitude lavender? Is the lime more potent of a smell than the orange or grapefruit? Michael , " Christy Greenway " <fufuno1@m...> wrote: > > > > I like Petitgrain for that sort of thing. Guest guest
Hi Michael, Petitgrain is made from the leave, neroli from the blossoms of citrus aurantium. I love petitgrain almost as much as neroli, but in a different way. Blend petitgrain with blood orange or red mandarin and you'll have an uplifting treat, in my opinion. I have never heard of sweet lavender, but high altitude lavender is almost always augustifolia. Distilled lime is very strong and smells like lime candy. Expressed lime smells like lime juice, and is probably as potent as the other expressed citrus oils. Guest guest
Someone already answered the petitgrain question. In regards to " sweet lavender " , that was just my little term to describe the kind of lavenders that lift me up.....those that have a sweetness to them, as opposed to a camphorous, more medicinal smell. I have a Bulgarian that is very floral and " sweet " . Also, for aroma, I like Lavender Mailette. Difficult to find that one, and there seems to be some controversy over it's therapeutic value, but I love the aroma!
