Just a wee mention. ;-) Eucalyptus is (at least e.globulous the one that most people use) is a Mighty potent oil. I would NOT use it on a four month old baby's chest and in a diffuser... I would use a drop just in a diffuser. Having said that, for a baby that's that little, I would be much more happy with Lemon Euc. It's much milder than Euc. Globulous and more suitable for a baby of that age. Cheers! Guest guest
Hi all, I am sorry that I have not introduced myself yet, but I do have a question I hope you all don't mind answering for me. My 4 month old has a cold with a lot of nasal congestion making it hard to nurse. Another list recommended putting him in a steamy bathroom with a wet washcloth with a few drops of EO's on it. Can I use lavender and tea tree for a 4 month old. I figured the lavender may help calm him and the tea tree may help prevent sinus infection?? I just wanted to check on the saftey of these EO's for the baby. As soon as my family is all done being sick, I will post a formal intro! TIA! Tammy, mom to Noah Keegan (10/14/99) and Caleb Parker, my water birth babe! (7/17/03)

Guest guest
OR Euc Smithii - I have used that in light dilution in a lotion base for both of the boys .... also, take LOTS of vitamin C, in YOUR diet Tammy, I've done that along with oregano oil and garlic (just fresh garlic) with JJ (Sean too when he was nursing) and it seems to pass along to him in a helpful, yet mild amount. I hope baby feels better soon *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com WoobeyQueen [WoobeyQueen] Thursday, November 13, 2003 7:53 PM Re: EO's for 4 month old... Guest guest
Thank you to all who respoded to my oils for baby question! Babe is much better...only one day of the sneezy snots while the rest of us are still dealing with it! Anyhow, I am awaiting some of the proper oils to have on hand for the next go round. Again, your information was very helpful! Tammy, mom to Noah Keegan (10/14/99) and Caleb Parker, my water birth babe!
