Guest guest
Oh Butch - as always wise and nice (haha that rhymed). The wound is closed now, but still aches like h..ll when straining it the " wrong " way. Guess i just have to wait and see then. I just go and work on my webpage, if not for any reason than to charge up those halfdead braincells of mine ;-P Fragrant Blessings, Ylva
Guest guest
I don't of anything natural that will help nerves. If you have severed that nerve, it will not heal itself, but would have to be repaired by a physician. The body can do incredible things, but I also believe that the gift of healing does not stop with nature but is also given to physicians when there is a need. No help here, sorry. Sunday one week ago I was slicing potatoes for dinner and my mind was totaly somewhere else - so slash bang I almost sliced of my left forefinger too (at least 1/3 of the way). Blood was flowing and I could't scream to loud, didn't want to freighten the kids... I tried to stem the blood enough to tape the wound together (used to work in an operation ward in my younger days LOL), but started to faint and had to lie down on the floor with my feet up on the toilet seat. Well to cut it short, my DH managed to bandage it and the next day I redid it myselt a little bit more properly. The cut itself have now almost healed, but I must have managed to damage a nerv with that cut, cause from the knuckle and over the next joint, half the finger is totaly numb. I know it sounds silly, but I don't think this is something to run to the doctor with (the only times I go and see a doc is when I'm in dire need), I much more would like to find something natural healsing restoring kind of thing instead. So come on - give me some healthy :-D advice here on what to cook up to speed the healing fo the nerv. Hmm yeahh, heal the cut too, cause it don't look to good :-( not the best of my taping experience me thinks. Guest guest
Hi Ylva, I'm sure you'll get some fine recommendations .. hopefully involving use of herbs .. but use of ANY type of essential oil would NOT be a fine recommendation. Open wounds (except for some emergencies) are not the place to put EO .. sensitization then becomes far more likely. The emergencies I speak of would be when a bad cut occurs and one knows they have been infected by bad critters .. and the only thing available is a highly antimicrobial EO .. even then the decision involves taking a calculated risk. Most of the time (all of the time??) nerves and veins heal themselves. Just takes a bit of time. I've done the same thing .. sliced a finger down to the bone. Took a while but it repaired itself. Good luck with the healing. :-) Butch http:/www.AV-AT.com > Sunday one week ago I was slicing potatoes for dinner and my mind was > totaly somewhere else - so slash bang I almost sliced of my left > forefinger too (at least 1/3 of the way).
