Nothing wrong with 'roo - low cholesterol, quite tasty when cooked properly. Or, as Butch mentioned, as jerky. Not sure that the road kill version would suit many people ! Those worried about the poor old 'roo - don't be too concerned - there's a few around. Talking of dog food, vet told us years ago that eggs are often added to dog food to increase/meet protein levels. Which gave us the answer to our dog's allergy. Allergy testing hadn't find anything, but she was an egg thief. Once that problem was sorted out, and the diet changed (yep, cooked kangaroo (!) and rice) all was well. Guest guest
Ok, so now I know that kangaroo is good for the whole family, those of us with 2 legs and those of us with 4 legs. I'm thinking that here in the Great State of Florida, I'm not going to find too much kangaroo dog food (or people food for that matter, but doggies are the topic). Armadillos are abundundant, though. I walked out my front door the other morning and there was one standing on my side walk looking like he was just waiting there to tell me good morning. They don't see too well so they're a little slow to get away from you unless they get a whiff of you...Please know one tell me THEY are low in cholesterol.
