Guest guest
I am happy to report, even though I didn't report when I put it in the ground, that my neem tree is growing! I just watered it, so hopefully it will pick up again. I also plan on trying to grow sbt here, [seabuckthorn]. However, it does not like hot feet, so I will have to bring it inside for the summer. Unless I can build a little house for it, that can have a swamp in it to cool it off some. A cool house as opposed to a hot house? lol I don't *think* it will work, but I'm gonna try. hmmm, maybe the garage, except my car goes in there in the summer. I've been told they don't like containers, but I was also told neem would not grow here! Sooooo.... My basil is up and doing well, lemon balm is thriving. I feel like my friends in New Zealand, here it's winter, there it's summer, but things grow here now. Some things, not all things. oh, and for those that have espresso machines? get some lemon balm leaves and smoosh as many in the little cup/strainer as you can and espress it. delightfully aromatic and GREAT in rice dishes! Oh, I have two tea trees growing also. One in a pot, one in the ground. We'll see.
