I have been involved with Aromatherapy & EO's on several levels for 5 years or better now. I was on other lists ( & still monitor from time to time-also where I met Butch) & got fed up with the junk, so I was happy to hear of a friendly list! What got me into AT was sheer desperation. My was 2 at the time & had EXTREMELY chronic sinus problems...to the point that conventional medicine no longer worked! Needless to say, with continuous research, guidance from people more experienced, & my own instincts, he is perfectly health today. So, for 5 years I have been passionately researching Alternative Therapies (of all sorts) & figuring out how to " practice " in my community. My uncle, who was a top Pediatrician in Charlotte, NC (founded the largest Pediatric Clinic there in addition to the Center for Human Development) was from the " old school " where you tried the " Natural Approach " before you resorted to prescriptions. He's the one who got me started on research. I have had lots more help along the way. Well, as far as family, I am married to a " former " Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine) who is getting ready to enlist in the National Guard today, I have a 7 year old son who is my pride and joy, and we have 2 dogs, 2 rabbits (for now), & 1 ferret. Can you tell I'm an avid animal lover???? OH...and I also make soaps & toiletries due to my chemical sensitivities to commercial products. I look forward to reading posts on the list & " meeting " you all...Due to time constraints between work & family schedules, I may not be able to post much, but I will do my best to help with questions and such.
