It has been my experience that micas do NOT work in cold-process soaps. What type soaps do you make? I make Cold Processed soap. It is true that some micas will not work in CP, some will fade and some will morph into completely different colors..... I just uploaded two pics into a file on the group home page, I think I labeled it 'Haiku pics'. The first one is swirled with the Green Mica I mentioned earlier and with Red Sandalwood Powder.....the second one is Green Oxide with a burgundy/red mica. I realize that many people on this list are only interested in natural colorants. The lady that asked this question originally commented that she had tried green mica and it went grey on her. Just wanted to convey that all micas are not the same, some greens will work. margie www.HillCountryHaiku.com

I was curious about the type of soaps you make. Still am. Namaste, Lynette Lynette, I thought I replied that I make Cold Process type soap? The recipe used in the soaps pictured is simply Olive, Palm, PKO and Unrefined Shea Butter. margie www.hillcountryhaiku.com
