Guest guest
I am trying to catch back up on the list (not an easy task you chatty people and I noticed a few folks have moved/are moving ... congratulations and I hope you enjoy your new homes and surroundings. It can be an arduous task, even when it is most beneficial thing to have done I'm going to try to take the time this week to post some wonderful recipes for homemade non-toxic household cleaners. Goodness knows I had to break them out here. The prior homeowners apparently had a roach dung farm business that was being run out of their lower kitchen cabinets ;-p I'll spare the gory details, but trust me - it was enough to make anyone want to YAK! At least I haven't had to deal with any new roaches so far. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Chris, if you DO run into more, let me tell you what finally did ours in (after paying a fortune to the darn Terminex people who increased out " family " of roaches considerably) Raid MAX with egg stoppers. I know, it isnt natural... but neither are roaches IMNSHO! Takes a while to break their cycle but it WORKS!!! Hugs neysa
Guest guest
Hey Chris, Sorry to hear you're having to do so much cleaning. It's a bummer for sure. I always thought when I moved out of a place (be it a house or apartment), that I should clean it so that all the people moved in had to do was take care of dust, and whatever was tracked in from the moving in process. Shouldn't have to exterminate and super clean when you first move into a place. How rude! Guest guest
Thank you Carol, I guess it is that some folks just keep slobby homes. I'm no neat freak (I'd love to be, but it doesn't work that way - especially with little kids making messes behind every clean up I do *lol*), but I won't let any room in my house become any critters' toilet - especially not the kitchen ;-p I got my first " trick " of the days when I ripped up the old liner to the top of the kitchen cabinets This is a job for the ORANGE CLEANER Then I can nicely put all my dried beans and such that are in mason jars up there The nice " treat " of the day though is that my new dishwasher and sink (along with a new faucet and disposal) look like they'll be here by tomorrow. This dishwasher that came with the house is old and useless, and the kitchen sink was only 6 inches deep! I have soup bowls deeper than that ;-p As for the faucet and disposal - they need taps to be played for them ... So all in all, very soon my kitchen will be a great place to be :-D *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Dragon's Pearls [dragonspearls] Friday, October 31, 2003 6:16 AM Re: OT: To Those Who've Recently Moved/Are Moving ..
