Guest guest
Hi y'all, Just returned to Friendsville at 0400 this morning .. kinda dragging butt as I drove over 2,500 miles in two days .. from Silver City, NM to here .. cause I was supposed to leave to return to Turkey on Monday. But .. as I was doing a snail pace through the fog when I hit the Appalachians after crossing into West By Gawd Virginie .. I decided that I'd stay another month so that is what I'm gonna do. Gotta zillion plus emails to go through here in Friendsville plus I've about decided to purchase some property here .. so I reckon I'll stay here for another 10 days or so and then I'll take another trip .. not returning to Turkey till 30 October. Got nothing to offer on sale now .. but gotta lotta good stuff to offer at reasonable prices methinks. ;-p Was skimming some of the zillion emails waiting for me here .. saw the one from Marge on the dude whut is overdoing the Oregano. Marge .. please send me the dialogue on that and lemme give you my two cents on it. Oregano is an oil that is potent and a little bit goes a long way. Speaking of Oregano .. long ago I wrote that the so-called Dr. Oregano (Cass Igram) was a dangerous man .. well, I just found out he has lost his license to practice medicine .. I'll post that (and many other things) later .. including some highlights of my recent trip (a blast) .. best part being hanging around my buddy's mini-ranch smack dab on the Continental Divide at 7,000 feet or so in NM .. best way to describe it is FANFRIGGINTASTIC!!! Went offroad to Tombstone and to Cochise's Stronghold .. and a few other places. And David .. I saw your post where you said you were surprised that this old soldier still had a liver. Hell podner .. in all those nights of hanging out in my suite I watched folks sucking up bourbon and wine and such .. but not once did I even get a good buzz on. I did maybe 4-5 (sometimes 6) beers in a night but they were American beers .. like a canoe they are .. closest one can get their butt to water. ;-p And I am thinking that the Arizona beer might be 3.2 anyway cause when I got to NM (and I am considering that my friend there made his own) I could get a good buzz with 2-3 .. of course, none of them can touch Turkish Efes Beer .. which is one of the one TWO things I miss about Turkey right now. Fact is .. I have decided to sorta live in America and I'm now trying to decide what part (actually who) of Turkey I want to import to be with me here in the USA. Anyhow .. just wanted to holler Howdy at y'all .. tell you I'm still kicking and damn near down for the count as that drive from Silver City showed me I have aged .. used to be able to do such without feeling tired but tonight my butt was dragging so I had a fatburger at the Friendsville pub .. washed it down with a few and I am about to hit the sack till morning light. One comical thing I'll mention .. I had the A/C on till I crossed the KY-WV border around Ashland, KY .. all of a sudden I felt a need to turn on the heater. ;-p Y'all keep smiling. Butch http://www.AV-AT.com PS: Hey Chris .. you gonna like Houston .. I spent a bitta time there .. lots of great seafood (and fire ants) .. but its nice. I pigged out on shrimp and oysters during this trip .. in Charleston .. first time I reckon I ever got really all I wanted. You will find similar opportunities around Padre Island. :-)
