Guest guest
DEBBIE! YES, YOU DO DILUTE PURE OREGANO OIL IN OLIVE OIL UNTIL YOU CAN STAND TO TAKE IT BY MOUTH. I make my dilutions fairly strong, but you could sure burn things...hope you are OK...Oregano oil is great stuff but very powerful! I hope what you used is already diluted. Diana of Dewberry Hill Chris, You just take the oregano without diluting it in olive oil? And you don't burn any holes through your mouth, LOL? I've been afraid to try it, but I got a nasty one brewing . . . here goes nothing . . . Debbie
Guest guest
I personally do NOT dilute mine for me ... but I also don't let it roll around in my mouth at ALL. I either put it into a capsule right before I take it or I put a few drops in a spoonful of sugar and do a quick water chaser never letting it touch my mouth even (sort of like the way a shot of whiskey would be done - just throw it down the throat *lol*). Capsule has been the way of choice for me lately since I don't like sucking on straight sugar. I tried it in honey once and all I ended up with was fire honey ;-p But for my 3 yr old I dilute it a lot in olive oil and add it to food. Diana is right, it is very powerful stuff and can burn like a hot chili pepper! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Diana of Dewberry Hill [cozad76078] Wednesday, September 10, 2003 8:27 PM DILUTE PURE OREGANO OIL! /was oregano chris DEBBIE! Guest guest
Chris.. I am " blessed " with a constantly stuffy head and face. I assume it is sinus but do not have the oregano. Can I use an oregano hydrosol? Thanks Neysa
Guest guest
Oh! You one tough cookie! The oregano oil I use I'm sure would burn a hole right through my insides if I didn't dilute it with some olive oil. Yer still here to testify, so you go girl! Guest guest
Hey Neysa, I take about 1ml of Oregano Hydrosol in every bottle of water I drink. It helps me tremendously. Guest guest
Well, I chickened out and difused it, LOL! I really think I will have to dilute mine, b/c it is so strong. Guest guest
Hey Neysa, It works out to approximately 20 drops per ml. It depends on the viscousity of the oil but with Oregano hydrosol that is what it works out to. Now something I though of - I do not do this every every day but start when I feel a cold or sinus problem coming on and take it until I am feeling better. It takes longer than Oregano EO but it is milder. Cheryl --- Neysa Dormish <neysa wrote: > Hey Neysa, > > Thanks but how much is a ml in measurements I > can understand? <DUH! Guest guest
I drink 1 pint bottles throughout the day. So 1ml(20 drops) per pint is what I use. I can not answer about kids because I don't have any around. Haven't tried it on them but I would think cut it in half like the EO would be safest. Guest guest
5ml (or cc, they are the same) is 1 teaspoon, so 1 ml would equal 1/5th of a teaspoon.
