Pineapple Extract Revisited

Happy Friday Everyone,

Here is an update on my pineapple extract :)

I filtered it again yesterday as there was a bit of settled sediment

in the jar. I actually used that cornstarch filter trick (a layer of

cornstarch in the bottom of a coffee filter sitting in a chinoise).

When I did the first filtering I didn't use the cornstarch. It seems

to have done the trick. It smells very nice and pineappley. Now what

shall I do with it ... hmmmm .... ?

It makes me want to go out and make all sorts of seasonal fruit

extracts - mmmm, like try to capture the scent of the peaches that

are ripe now ... maybe eventually I can turn this experiment into a

fruit liquor making adventure (there are yummy holiday sweet treats

to be made soon ;)

Hey, JenB, how is your cucumber extract coming along?

*Smile*
