Guest guest
Hi everyone, I had been informed by my computer tech to turn on the firewall in Windows XP. I tried and couldn't, so I started with AOL. Well, after an hour of trying to get through to AOL and being given very pat answers about it being Microsoft's problem, I waited for over an hour, at 4:00 AM MDT,to speak to a Microsoft Tech. Sure am thankful I did. The important news is that AOL members cannot enable the Windows XP firewall as the AOL firewall conflicts will Windows XP firewall. He researched this with me for over an hour. Just wanted to FYI to all of you AOL members. He was going to put that info on the Microsoft site. He was kind enough to tell me that he found another problem. He suggested that I might want to have my BIOS fixed, repaired and installed or it would begin doing funny stuff. I have now been copying data and programs for over 3 hours because I am going down. AUGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Still need to copy my address book and filing cabinet. Well, that's for tomorrow morning. Going on 3 hours sleep each night for the last 3 nights is causing me to go haywire here. Hope to see all of you after the Holiday with a working computer!!!! Hugs, *Very tired* Buffy
