Aspartame

Hi All,

I did get one request to talk about aspartame-

Aspartame binds competetively with neurotransmittors at the neuronal synapse.

As aspartame does nothing to conduct nerve impulse, all it does is, simply put,

jam up the nervous system, interfering in all kinds of function in the nervous

system, including brain function. There are those who also think it encourages

tumor growth.

To explain further: Nerve impulses jump from nerve cell to nerve cell (aka

'neuron) via a junction referred to as the synapse. They do this by releasing

neurotransmittors, which jump from the neuron carrying the message, across the

junction, to the neuron receiving the impulse (message.) If the synapse if full

of something else (aspartame, for example) the receiving neuron can't receive

the incoming message.

Aspartame has been linked to behavioural disturbances in both kids and adults,

but I bet there's nothing it doesn't affect, because , we are run by our nervous

system, so anything that interferes w/that is going to interfere w/everything.

I believe that in about 10 years or so, Aspartame will be off the market,

completely defunct. 'Member, ya heard it here first!

Rebecca
