After a lot of poking a prodding, I have tried turning my hand to a few

humorous essays. I read them aloud to my husband and the loving reply I got was:

" Sounds like you feel sorry for yourself, no one is going to find it funny "

Well after a massive angst attack, I decided that if I were going out, I was

going to take him with me...

Thus the following:

I haven't read it to HIM yet... >evil wicked Bitch Queen type laugh<

Cheers!

Oh, Kathleen, he's not one bit different from American engineers! I've met

only one engineer that was a real human being. It's more of a sad

commentary on engineers and their single minded selfishness than feeling

sorry for you. Anyway that's my take on your piece and my experience with

LOTS of engineers.

P.S. His theory of about why women are attracted to certain men is

completely wrong. Women don't even want to know their men do that much less

be attracted to it.

You are entitled to your opinion, and to keep in mind your opinion of

engineers' single minded selfishness next time you sit down at your

computer, get a drink of water from your faucet or open your

refrigerator, cook your soap on the stove, flush your toilet and wash

your hands, leave your ventilated house to get in your car to go to

the grocery store, etc., etc.

Please, be my guest, and hark back to the good old days, oh about

1800, before engineers were invented, so you wouldn't have to meet

any. We really lived like human beings then!

Chris,

I was referring to their personal relationships as was Chris. Obviously I

was stating a personal opinion. I didn't say I didn't like engineers. And

has nothing to do with your engineers. Of course engineers have contributed

immeasurably to all my creature comforts. Why would you think I believe

otherwise? I guess I just don't understand why you would compare apples to

oranges ;o)
